Provenance |
salvaged from Dalys wharf while it was undergoing repair and strengthening work in October 2024 under contract from Christchurch City Council. Comes from the"hammer" end of the wharf, probably from the side facing Childrens Bay and possibly dates from the 1913 refurbishment. Viewing recent footage (filmed on 02/01/2024) that location appeared to be the only place with an extant mooring cleat in this style. |
