Family tradition has it that it was made by Amiria Puhirere (Hokianga) and given by her to the donor's paternal great grandmother, Mary Hannah Weeks who was friendly with the creator. Passed by inheritance to donor's father Jack (Eric John) Reid, who passed it to donor, Ruth Jones (nee Reid). |
