Description |
Silver (hallmarked) medal created as a shield. Obverse has a raised central shield engraved "Grand Handicap Akaroa W. M. Livingstone 1893". Eye at the top of the shield has some frayed string (or wool) tied in a loop. Reverse has the mark CES for Charles Edward Soloman, Birmingham, England, and date mark 1892. Won by Livingstone at the Queens Birthday Sports in June 1893. |
