Medal awarded to Arnold Shuttleworth, with ribbon, attached to a pin along with Victory Medal (.195) The British War Medal / '1914-1918' medal. Obverse: An Uncrowned Effigy of King George V surrounded by the legend "GEORGIVS V BRITT:OMN:REX ET IND:IMP:" Reverse: St. George on horseback facing right. The horse is trampling on the shield of the Central Powers. At the foot are a skull and crossbones, at the top there is a rising sun. Around the border are the dates "1914" and "1918." Trooper Shuttleworth's details around the edge. Ribbon attached, 17mm orange watered stripe down the centre, bordered with 3mm white, 1mm black and 3mm blue stripes. |
